Pengaruh Lingkungan Fisik terhadap Produktivitas Pembelajaran Mahasiswa di Gedung Administrasi Niaga Politeknik Negeri Bandung

Abstract

The physical environment plays an important role in supporting students’ learning productivity. However, several conditions in the Administration Building of Politeknik Negeri Bandung, such as room temperature, air circulation, and noise levels, may affect students’ comfort and concentration during learning activities. This study aims to determine the condition of the physical environment, assess the level of students’ learning productivity, and analyze the effect of the physical environment on students’ learning productivity in the Administration Building of Politeknik Negeri Bandung. This research employed a quantitative method with descriptive and associative approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 students of the Department of Business Administration and analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination analyses. The results show that the physical environment is categorized as moderate, with an average score of 3.12, while students’ learning productivity is categorized as high, with an average score of 3.41. Furthermore, the physical environment has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning productivity, with a regression coefficient of 0.408 and a significance value of < 0.001. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.246 indicates that the physical environment contributes 24.6% to students’ learning productivity.
